I dont know why you believe he wouldnt do that with Maul and Vader after what he did with Maul and Kenobi.

As for overseeing the films, thats an even bigger risk. He has zero experience in movies. And even his animation, where hes supposed to shine, sucked hard without Lucas.

I did not see a huge problem with the way he handled that fight. He made it different and Maul was well past his prime and broken.

Well the Russo’s were a risk too and look how that worked out.

Well there was a problem. Because it was HIS Decision to make Maul well past his prime compared to Kenobi.

Russos had a directing background, and 1 film was risked. After which they proved themselves. Filoni has no live action feature film background. And Rebels sucked. So why would they risk everything on him?

They wouldnt.

I'd take Filoni over Kennedy in a f*cking heartbeat, tbh.

It makes sense due to hs experiences. It makes sense for the story. Filoni has worked under Lucas and had two animated shows so he’s proven something.

Point is someone has to do it and I believe he’s paid his dues and should be given the chance to prove it.

Yeah funny how what makes sense is always the best way to shit on Maul.

Tell me, did it make sense for Kanan to beat Maul as well?

Weve seen him operate with him in charge. The result was a sub-par show.

Star Wars has never and will never be about power levels. You’re looking at this purely from a battle board nerd perspective. Kanan was going to be killed by Maul before Tano intervened. Kanan is clearly outmatched against a well past his prime Maul you’re just fixated on that one scene to be able to reasonably talk with anyone.

Look you hate and don’t trust Filoni I think otherwise. For ****s sake quit being such a nerd.

Power levels are one thing, continuously shitting on a character is something entirely different.

And at some point it does effect the story. That final clash between Maul and Kenobi was very poor entertainment after spending 3 episodes building up to it.

Ashoka surviving Vader and living past ROTJ is pure trash in terms of storytelling. And why did that happen? Because Filoni plays favourites.

He should be kept well away from any kind of authoritarial role at Lucasfilm.

Edit - oh and youre simply in denial about the Maul vs Kanan thing. Suffice to say, Filoni would die before letting Ashoka get beaten by Kanan or by an Inquisitor.

that’s your opinion I disagree. Whenever anything goes against your preconceived notions you deem it as shitting on characters. Just relax and keep your battleboard nonsense to yourself.

Dude, no I’m not. I said we already saw Maul almost killing him before tano and what happened at the end is fine. Maul is still his superior past his prime.
