Best CGI award: Doomsday vs. Steppenwolf vs. Ares

Which of these 3 characters had the best-looking CGI?

1. Doomsday (BvS)
2. Steppenwolf (JL)
3. Final-form Ares (WW)

Criteria to consider:
a. How their CGI-design looked overall
b. Level of detail of their CGI
c. How their CGI held up while they were moving and interacting with the environment.
d. How their CGI looked while employing powers and abilities

Doomsday.

Steppenwolf has to get the bronze medal. That looked like Doom 4.

He looked aweful to be honest.... He looked not that evil; seemed weak.

Doomsday Ticks All Boxes

Doomsday.

So who gets 2nd place?

Ares.

they all suck, but doomsday is the lesser of three evils

Doomsday looked like a Ninja Turtle with down syndrome

Abomination (DD) was the best CGI of the 3.

/\

Seems some people can't read...

Irony.

How do you guys feel Steppenwolf's CGI compares to Juggernaut from DP2?

jugger wins.

Juggernaut reassembled more to it's comic counterpart, whilst SW didn't...Steppenwolf was different.

I mean, since I'm guessing DP2 had a smaller budget, the choice to keep Juggs in his yellow jumpsuit with his helmet on was smart: follows the plot well, Juggs' most recognizable feature is his unique helmet, and it hid any issues with having to look at a CGI face for the last half of the film.

JL on the other hand...well, Steppenwolf's face and frame was constantly seen in all it's PlayStation-ness:
- Face shots of Step saying, "Mother," or something like that.
- Full body shots in brightly-lit scenes.
- A bigger PG-13 budget.

What made everyone think, "Yep, that'll do on a film featuring our biggest superheroes ever assembled on the silver screen?" Just straight garbage. Have I mentioned that I really didn't like Justice League?

CPT Space Bomb is right: Abomination looked much better because Louis Letterier and crew knew how to light and shoot the final Harlem showdown to accent all Abom's look's strengths and hide his CGI shortcomings.

EDIT: Took out a phrase.

JL had like 3 times the budget DP2 had. The fact that one can even compare the two tells you what a shit job they did with Steppenwolf.
