Right, but that's not unique to DMC5. Reviewers act like Transformers Devastation or Viewtiful Joe didn't have characters with completely different play styles.
Basically they smell of hit pieces. Which has been common against the Nintendo Switch in general, I was looking up reviews of Nier Automata one reviewer bluntly opened with "I don't think the Switch version is worth your money."
Puff pieces and hit pieces have always been a problem, but now they don't even try and be subtle about it.
I don't even own a Switch, it just stands out to me. Of course the Doom Eternal port won't stand up to any other version, we know that going in, don't tell us "ditch the low powered console for a gaming PC" and judge it on its own merits.
