Thanks. And damn. It really seems to be as bad as it was rumoured to be... tomatometer at 27% already:
20% now. I don't go by critics, but that's a super bad score.

I'll wait for the audience score, Thats the one that matters.
Unfortunately the first negative reactions came from advance screenings to audiences.

I love how this is setting up a Venom+MCU connection. And it looks great too.

It's a great cast but looks like bog standard garbage. Like Dracula: Untold levels of shit.
Unsurprising...

17% now... and I believe it was lower than that at some point, too 😂
Gotta say, even after reading those initial rumours of how bad it was supposed to be, I wasn't expecting this.
And yes, same here - critic reviews and scores will never be the same as seeing the final product yourself... no argument here, man... but they can give us a general idea if we should consider spending our money/time on films we're unsure of.

Just saying cause I liked Venom which critics didnt. But even that has like a 30% (was probably around 40% when it was released). But This is just a super bad score. Will wait for the CinemaScore, but no plans on rushing out to see this now.

Guess Disney will be opting out of including this in the MCU.Unless maybe as a minor side character with Blade.
I heard theyve removed most references to Spider-Man in the final cut.

I totally get you 👆
Yes, Venom (at least the first film, still haven't seen the sequel) is a nice example and it's far from being the only one.
Indeed, Morbius' score is super-bad and that's not even the final count.

Which apparently includes removing Keaton's scenes...
Heh, no wonder Keaton was "confused" about Morbius' canonicity-to-MCU status.
Nah. If anything, the opposite.
Cursed with uninspired effects, rote performances, and a borderline nonsensical story, this Spidey-adjacent mess is a vein attempt to make Morbius happen.
Apparently, the early 2000 days of insultingly lazy superhero movies have not yet died out
Morbius is a movie Sony has been trying to make since the early 2000s, and the film being released in 2022 feels like a relic from that early 2000s era of superhero movies, and not in a good way.
