US hits 6 billion before July for the first time ever

Movies are so successful these days. Never been a better time for movie goers. More MCU, Star Wars, Potter verse films, etc. Keep ‘em coming.

That's largely in part due to rising cost. A ticket today cost around $11-12.00, more if it's 3D.

Adjusted for inflation as a ticket in say 1977 doesn't cost the same as one in 2018, Star Wars, Gone With the Wind, Jaws. E.T., Titanic, The Sound of Music and others are still at the top.

It is also due to multiple companies making more and more blockbusters and hits than ever. Sure those films were bonafide hits they were more rare and in a far less competitive time. Competition breeds better quality. As a fantasy and sci fan there’s never been a more exciting time to be alive than with how films keep coming out.

Same

when i read the thread title, To me is sounds like the U.S. population has it 6 billion.

I dislike the new Star Wars films.

Rogue One and Solo were good, but VII and XIII were just not that good to me.

I think it is now Official that Quan needs to seek serious help like getting therapy.

I dunno, I thought episode 13 was really cool, I loved the Chewbacca rape scene and Kylo Ren getting plastic surgery to look like Leia, very edgy.

I loved it when Kylo Transgendred into a Blue Milk Giving Space ManateeCowThing. And then marrying Mary Rai Sue was just beautiful.

Was gonna make an episode 13 joke, will now abstain.
