People really need to start giving Kylo some credit for that fight. Kylo had pretty much had every handicap he could have had.
1. He was shot with the bow-caster. We've seen what that weapon can do. It's like the real-life equivelant to a shotgun. Yet he still manages to walk in the bitter cold with the open wound, and fight.
2. He'd just killed his father, which did 2 things: hindered him emotionally, making it harder for him to focus, and severed (or at least greatly weakened) his connection to the force.
3. He didn't want to fight/hurt Rey. For his entire life, Kylo had been controlled by someone else. Snoke, currently. But when they discovered Rey, he knew he could overthrow Snoke. He decided it was time to free himself, have Rey join him, and fulfill both their destinies. He went to her and asked her to join him, but instead she fought back. It's incredibly obvious throughout the scene that for the majority of the fight he was just defending himself, yet still managing to overpower her and dictate the pace. Then, she decided to use the force, and subdued him.
So I don't know what people want from that fight, but they went out of their way to make sure Kylo's fate would seem logical, yet people are still talking about how his defeat didn't make any sense.
Kylo is a powerful guy. The fact that he didn't drop dead instantly in the conditions he was in, much less show the endurance he did alone speaks volumes about his power.
