Filming on things such as House of the Dragon continue because it's shot almost entirely in Europe and its cast is almost entirely British so it is run under Equity union rules and not SAG-AFTRA

Something similar applies to a few others. The Dune: Sisterhood prequel show for example.

I'd say give them a nice chunk of the film profits, but that might encourage mediocre writing as Marvel films which are fun and make a billion+, are not great works of writing.
