It was just before the New 52, so I guess Starlin wanted to wreck as many characters as he could get his hands on, between Bizarro and the New Gods.
Pretty sure he’s talking about Rann/Thanagar: Holy War
No I read Rann Thanagar holy war and none of the synopsis under strange adbentures section in the linked wiki was a part of that. Hell I cant even recall seeing the girl friend of Comet called eye (and I checked out several images in her cv page).
Yeah cdtm that was f##ing up the character. Boody glad I never read it.

Here once again Comet takes out Synnar in the Weird's body with a single mind blast. Considering how powerful the Weird is the omnipotent mind of Synnar. That's damn impressive
