Because of pis and Cis. Without those two, few beings are a threat to Metron once his on the Morbius chair.

Metron doesn’t fight. He’s a seeker of knowledge. Metron is the type of person that would let a Universe be destroy, if said destruction further his knowledge. He’s basically a lesser Braniac, since he doesn’t destroy, just accumulate knowledge.

But Metron didn’t fight in either Wars. He did it for his own end, not because he cared for the Multiverse.

Also, Thor has nothing that can break the Morbius chair shields unless pis/Cis is involved.

Metron doesn’t fight. He’s a seeker of knowledge. Metron is the type of person that would let a Universe be destroy, if said destruction further his knowledge. He’s basically a lesser Braniac, since he doesn’t destroy, just accumulate knowledge.

Merton isn’t invulnerable while on the chair. At best he is bug that Thor has to hit. He can’t threaten Thor.

Metron is near untouchable in the chair. The only reason anything ever happen to him is due to pis and Cis. Thor is not touching Metron without those two being a factor. He could also just dump Thor in a black hole if he desires it.

Pretty sure Metron giving fire to men wasn’t because he cared, but merely to fuel his knowledge on how they would proceed with said advancement. So again, he did it to fuel his knowledge.

The New Gods are honestly dicks. There are just a handlefull that cares. Scott and Barda are some of those few.

Also, even though the pic being used for Metron is his 52/Rebirth pic, the post Crisis are still canon to then New Gods. They remember themselves dying in Final Crisis and coming back to life.
