For someone who's supposed to be a Superman fan, I'd expect you to know Superman has had multiple power ups since. So Abhi's "hardly relevant" isn't "ignoring what he doesn't like," it's pointing out Superman's grown beyond that point. Unless I missed it and the topic was Byrne era levels.
This will always be a controversial matchup, especially since most people will like one or the other characters passionately.
My thoughts?
Simple - in normal instances, I would say current Superman. However, no holds barred and anything goes, the Sentry. He brings the physical stuff alright, but then he’s able to bring all sorts of other ish. Ish that includes matching against Molecule Man.
Anyway, this will always be a controversial matchup. My opinion is simply that an all out Superman is a beast and doesn’t have limits, but an all out Sentry has other stuff that simply breaks reality
