If anything Trump broke the right more than anything else...
Bingo.
He's fractured them into The Republicans and The Cult of Trump. The Republican party of old is in the shadows, he completely owns that party and Republicans that want to speak out, will not as long as he has a high level of support** with Conservatives/Republicans. The ones that speak out, generally are leaving office.
**Trump approval is down with his Republican base, but still at 76% (which is lower end considering past presidents), seems even the Right is starting to hopefully wake up a little. As it stands though, the Right will rise or sink with Trump.
IDB/TIPP: "The September poll found that President Trump's job approval fell by 5 points to 36. He suffered a big drop in support from his Republican base, with approval going from 83% in August to 76% in September. Overall, 56% of the public say they disapprove of the job Trump's doing, up three points from August." -snip

Lets get real, the republican party fractured with the terrible tea party and just continued with the nauseating trump (although comical.)
