Then why did WB themselves put out some half ass ignorant statement whether or not Cavil is staying on or leaving? It just seems that WB are moving away from Batman and Superman for the time being... During the Elseworlds crossover

So it really doesn;t make sense for them to go this route for Batman and Superman if indeed one or both are still gonna be live action.

As are the CW, just less-so.
Them being in the CW shouldn't affect them in movies, especially seeing as how we've seen how fickle they are. They don't plan things as far ahead as Marvel do.
Cavill might never play Superman again; that's true. But if he doesn't, I'd believe that's WB's fault, not Cavill's.
