Mace Windu can be extremely effective against a lone practitioner of dark side powers with clear focus (Vaapad + Shatterpoint), but I am not sure how he would fare against a Strike Team of Jedi (or Sith). Although he might humble several average Jedi in a fight.

Palpatine have the necessary strength and powers to subdue a Strike Team of Jedi (or Sith).

I'd agree, and I'm still not sure if Mace Windu is a match for Sidious on a normal day.
