Given the extreme circumstances, it's possibly. I've read that Kenobi was possibly hindered during the fight though. The ROTS novel doesn't state anything from what I remember.

I just skimmed through the fight, and there's no mention of Obi-Wan using the force more deeply. A lot of "letting go" and using the force to guide him, but I think Ant's probably full of it. Maybe it's in a Fact File or something.
