CW Atom Vs MCU Ant Man

Both can shrink, both can grow.
One controls insects, onems more heavily armored and has power blasts.

Scott’s been shown to shrink/grow better/quicker, likely due to the constraints of a television budget for Ray.

I personally think Scott eould win but am curious if anyone can make a case for Ray.

Ray has the potential to win here, given that he has enhanced strength, flight etc. on top of the shrinking and growing. However, I'd be more inclined to give the majority to Scott purely because of how inconsistent Atom tends to be. CW characters can fluctuate a lot from episode to episode, depending on the plot. Especially when they are part of a team that needs to give everyone something to do, resulting in more powerful characters often under performing. Plus, Yellowjacket also had flight and energy blasts, so Scott has some experience dealing with this kind of opponent.

We’re of like mind then (i wanted to go back and add flight/super strength to Ray’s resume, but the post had timed out). While Ray has a greater array of powers to draw on, like you said, their inconsistency skews towards a Scott win.

What's also a problem with CW characters is they often only use things one-off. So, it's hard to know what's an outlier and what's considered part of their gear. Like Atom has used things like his shrink ray or growing abilities 2 or 3 times in 3 seasons of Legends and, like, 2 seasons of Arrow that he was in. So, that's literally 2 or 3 times out of 50+ appearances onscreen. So, even though he has it, is it in character for him to use it? That makes it hard to judge how he will act in a forum match.
