I like to think they try and speedblitz each other by shouting Shazam over and over again.

Actually, that is what happens.

They both shout Shazam, and the seven kids beat the shit out of Billy.

Edit: 6 kids and a fricking tiger.

Well, you see, Superman said that Captain Thunder has a similar counterpart on his planet. This of course means that Captain Thunder = Captain Marvel, despite every bit of comic precedence set, including long-running series (See: Marvel's Exiles) showing that not to be the case.
