We tried to play Diablo 3 on it and it was impossible cuz you couldn't even tell what the gear you got did, you couldn't read the enchantments.

I never had a problem retro gaming on an lcd. That could be because it's an oddball 1360x768 resolution, which is designed to scale at 8 and 16 bits (Lower res compatibility).

They come with crt compatible composites. It won't look pretty, but it's perfectly playable.

I played the 360 on a CRT TV for like a year before I got my first LCD TV. It wasn't too bad back then. But the improvement in graphics from going to an LCD TV was pretty amazing.

I played it on a friends Sony Trinitron (Poor guy spent thousands on it, just before flat panels took off). It looked.. less colorful.

Games like Ikaruga and Ninja Gaiden II just didn't have any pop to them. But then, I was also using composites. Doubtless, component cables would have made a world of difference.
