Did Vader know/ever find out that Sidious was Plagueis' apprentice?

As the title says.

I think Anakin deduced that in ROTS.

Stop thinking logically, that's now allowed here.

Palpatine outright told him in the novel.

Indeed.

"Do you remember that myth I told you of, The Tragedy of Darth Plagueis the Wise?" the shadow whispered.

"Yes," Anakin said. "Yes, I remember."

The shadow leaned so close that it seemed to fill the world. "Anakin, it's no mere myth." Anakin swallowed. "Darth Plagueis was real."

Anakin could force out only a strangled whisper. "Real...?"

"Darth Plagueis was my Master. He taught me the key to his power," the shadow said, dryly matter-of-fact, "before I killed him."

even in the film he alludes to this when he says that that "to cheat death is a power only one has achieved" inferring that he knew plagueis personally

Not even. In the film he basically outright states it.

I'm pretty sure on his way back to the Temple Anakin put everything together. Especially since later he realized that Palpatine didn't actually have the power to save Padmè.

Indeed.

I wish Anakin asked him more about him.
