Should the U.S be Segregated via Political Lines?
Serious Question. Since it appears to be that the Left is becoming more and more deranged and unable to co-exist with those that think differently from them?
So I would ask.
Should the U.S be Segregated along Political Lines?
Red State
Blue State
No Questions.
Is this something that should be done?

My parents are center-left, I'm a right-winger, should we be separated?
I was a pretty solid leftie 3 years ago, and gradually shifted until I was a right-winger a year ago. Should I be forced to upheave my life and move because I shifted in political opinion?
Some of my IRL friends are lefties (though granted it leads to some very heated arguments some times), should we be physically separated by a state border because we disagree politically?
My mom's parents were a left-winger and a right-winger, should couples like them be separated?
My Christian group on campus has a mix of left-wingers and right wingers, should such a group not be allowed to exist?
And what do you do with the centrists? What do you do with the apolitical people?
This is a really stupid idea that would split up families and communities and has no respect for a semblance of personal freedom.
Also to your point, do you not expect either side to get worse if you stick them in state sized echo-chambers?

Besides. Lots of Families have already been "Split Up" over politics since Trump Won. Mostly because Leftists will no longer associate with those that Voted The WRONG WAY!
And States are ALL Ready becoming "Echo Chambers" Just look at Commie Fornia.
This is a Solution that could be in-acted NOW to prevent the Problems coming in the near future!
It is being stated tat 25 million young Stupid People want Socialism to become the Norm.

No, but I think it will kind of happen naturally. As the polarization continues, and shows no signs of halting, blue states are becoming bluer, red states are becoming redder, and as the tides pull them each in opposite directions the population that does not match the controlling party will likely leave for a state that better matches their own politics.

I find that my conservative pals are very agreeable when we discuss politics. I also feel that conservatives around me are much more reasonable and care about the facts. These are God-loving, Church-Goers who think abortion is murder. People who voted for Trump or Johnson in 2016.
I have the exact opposite experience with my liberal pals here in Oklahoma. They are unreasonable, do not want to discuss facts, and are unwilling to change their minds. Almost 100% of them.
And I don't feel like it used to be this way. I think it has only happened in the last 2-ish years due to Trump.
After a was part of a conversation with some conservatives and a liberal, and I saw the belligerence of my liberal pal, I interjected. Usually, I let things go because adults are adults and talk things through. But my liberal pal was so angry and obstinate that I stepped. Typical dadudemon fashion, I gave the "hey, we're all good friends, here. No need to get heated. What's wrong? Why did it end up at this point?" She said that living in the most conservative state in the US as a liberal the last 2 years has been pretty bad. Feels so antagonistic and intimidating. And she also feels that there's no hope of dialogue anymore.
Unlike internet debates, these are real life friends. People I care about. People, who if they asked me to to say a certain word because it is offensive, I would not say simply out of love and respect for my friend (something I refuse to do for strangers and most people because I care very little about them and their feelings). Obviously, her feelings are at the minimum, slightly valid. She's not wrong. Seems like we are becoming more and more polarized.
Do you know what topic they were arguing about? Immigration. 😐
Anyway, my point is, I can sit down with any of my conservative pals, make fact-based arguments about things such as Universal Healthcare, free contraceptives, drug legalization, and it works. They listen. I may even change their mind or at least move them closer to center from the right. I cannot do this with my liberal pals. 🙁

I think they can coexist, I believe that most people simply want what they perceive as a better society. That means we don't always align on what that means but generally speaking there are foundations as to who we are as people that speak louder than political affiliations.
Social media allows for these silos of political beliefs to fester and they can easily hide in their safe zone left and right. Only when we come together can we create a better tomorrow and place for our kids. Overcome adversity with common sense and create a better system through understanding on both sides.
