He fought against Zeus, who beat the crap out of World War Hulk

He did at that. A very even fight.

I believe he held off Zuras, too, who was even with Zeus.

We can't really compare them to known technology like gunpowder, nukes, or warheads. For all we know, they need reality to create a reaction.

Or, the bleed could have smothered them. Being a catch all miracle substance.
