Better movie: Man of Steel.
- Oscar-caliber cinematography and visual effects. Legit top tier cinematography.
- As NemeBro mentioned, Snyder put together some truly phenomenal action set-pieces. I agree, the best in a superhero film yet barring something like the big team-up fight on Titan in Infinity War and Quicksilver's mansion rescue in X-Men: Apoc.
- Clark's character arc: an overwhelmed farmboy that is trying to find what his place is in this world and isn't at the level of a veteran, seasoned Superman yet. This results in him making the decision to kill Zod to save others, which I liked for the in-universe Supes that Snyder and co. created for Man of Steel. Where they took the character by the time of Justice League was garbage, but I liked the foundation with which they started.
Scores are a wash: Hans Zimmer's "Flight" is a phenomenal track, and all of MoS's score is an epic delight, but Ludwig Göransson's score sounded great as well and really captured the themes and feel of the world of Wakanda ("Killmonger" or Killmonger's Theme is a new classic villain theme for a killer with swagger).
Which movie will I remember more: Black Panther, due to my wife and I being huge fans of the MCU and Chadwick Boseman's performance as T'Challa in Civil War. We saw it opening night at our favorite theater in OKC after a nice Valentine's dinner, so ol BP will always have a special place in my heart. It also has a far far far far superior villain in Killmonger (right there with Thanos and Bushmaster as the MCU's best antagonists) when compared to lose-every-fight Zod.
Michael Shannon's Zod would kneel before Terence Stamp's Zod every day of the week and twice on Sundays.
