Morgan Freeman is to Thanos what Godzilla is to an ant.

It seems like the infinity stone make you close to god-like, but it doesn't give you omnipresence or make you omnipotent. If it had Thanos wouldn't have been hurt by Stormbreaker and he should have been able to heal himself instantly from the wound, but as we see, he was damaged badly and he couldn't heal himself as we see himself still badly injured.
