And he’s completely correct.
He should have added "money" too. But thus far, his comment has been proven correct if you look back in the last 40 months or so since the vote went through.

It is indeed an obscene waste of money as well. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_effects_of_Brexit

I just skimmed it, but: "By the beginning of April 2019, banks had transferred more than US$1 trillion out of Britain, and asset management and insurance companies transferred US$130 billion out of Britain."

Ouch. Add to it that there's pro-Brexit politicians who got caught telling banks and large corporations to divest themselves out of the UK before Oct 31st...

So Brexit is delayed despite Boris' pledge to be out on Halloween or dead in a ditch. Unspecified date as of yet.

Looking like a possible General Election on Dec 12th.

I am sure the people fighting for Brexit are facing many Actual Threats from the Facist EU Members.

Very Very Possible.

So we have to wait until January now. FFS

So I'm guessing that by pushing for a general election, Johnson is hoping he loses and that someone else can deal with the mess he helped create. Not to mention how much he might want to make the EU look like the bad guy if they eventually just stop giving extensions.

Honestly, that level of cowardice is sad.

Holy **** the next general election is in 2022?!

So that means Britain will have a remain parliament for the next 3 years doing everything they can to obstruct the results of the referendum.

People pushing for the UK to remain now have lost all moral standing to sympathize with Americans complaining about how undemocratic the electoral college is tbh.

Yeah, I hope so, because it's the parliment for Britain not England and Scotland as a nation didn't vote Brexit for instance etc. etc. In fact, a no deal Brexit wasn't what was sold to the people by Farage and Co. either. The UK certainly didn't vote Brexit. England did!

No, Johnson Hope's he can set up the English People vs Parliment, a tabloid narrative which Brexiteers and others may fall for. Gain a mandate and push a far right, no deal brexit through, no questions asked.

How much would he profit from a no-deal?

Ever considered the reason he's pushing for a no deal is because the European union won't accept any deal?

I would if a deal hadn't been offered, but it has. Several times. It just isn't the "you get all the benefits with none of the responsibilities" deal that people like him said they'd get from the EU.

I suspect his class greatly, as the UK returns to the 1930's.

Yes. In the UK now it seems the Police will NO Longer Respond to Burglaries but WILL be Enforcing PC Hate Speech Laws.

Putting the F and the C in the U.K!

Johnson stands to make millions with a no-deal exit, people he's linked to are betting against the Pound (short-selling), betting on the Pound crashing with a no-deal.

Ugh. There's a part of me that feels like the EU should just cut their losses and boot them out, somehow. They voted to leave. So give them a helping hand. Even as much as a no-deal would hurt Ireland in the short-term, it would be worth it to end this shite.
