Actually no he's not. You can find both epic and terrible fight scenes in both mediums. Alot of people have issues with mangas overdramatization in fights. Attack announcements, useless background characters making faces, hyper stylized explosions and over reliance on depicting speed. Also the lack of coloring to takes away ALOT.
The lack of coloring does amount for something, but the examples he gave (Kengan and Baki) focused enough in actual martial arts that the announcing-attacks-magical-girl-esque thing doesn't happen.
With that said more choreography doesn't necessarily mean a better fight, I think good comics give enough emotional investment and proper depiction of internal conflict to be as good as the best out there.

Sad how weak Knull comes off tho, Marvel needs to flesh out their villians more
He blots out stars, engulfs planet after planet, makes thralls out of Celestials, tears Sentry in half and casually absorbs the Void, puts down Thor with some Odnforc.. I say he's plenty powerful.

Like a well paced action movie. 👆He's fleshed out enuff. Knull had a bunch of back stories and given clear motivation for his evil deeds.

Some of these Heroes Reborn reveals have been terrible. That was until I saw this....best event ever!!!

Agreed. Personally fights like DD, Elektra vs Bullseye or KC Supes vs KC Shazam speak to me more than what Ive seen in manga.

Weak as in underwhelming. I honestly wanted a different type of villain. He bores me. And trust me I get it. He's powerful. He wrecked celestials. He pulled a sentry on sentry (who ripped ares/carnage) in half. But he does not impress me. I don't like the edge lord angle. It screams "try hard". I don't see any complexity, no nuance. I feel like the best villains are those who DON'T Show off. The ones who you can tell are evil only through a gleam in their eye. But like I said it was a fun read. I just expected a little more for someone at his level. Imo he'll be killed off and replaced by a new menace before the series ends.
You ever read Ice Cream Man? That's a villian. Or the build up to Darkseid in Mr. Miracle's mini...that foreboding feeling. Shit like that.
