So, anyone read Alan Moore's Marvelman/Miracleman?It's been years, but that ending was phenomenal. I think it was Moore's finest work.
I also think the fan theories on how a Utopia can't work is missing the point. The fact is, these demi gods DID make a Utopia happen. And they ARE able to make it work for EVERYONE. Not just the pantheon.
Which is the point. It's social commentary on how it takes a literal act of god to ever have a Utopia on Earth. Someone powerful enough to just outright ignore all protests and actions and be like "Here's your cure for all diseases. Oh, you have a problem with how we're imposing on sovereign nations? Tell it to someone who cares. Now go meet long dead philosophers, poets, and thinkers while I get to saving literally everyone."
