It’s on record that a young lady after reading All Star who was contemplating suicide stop when she saw Superman saving that young lady from jumping.
That scene resonated with her so much, that it saved her life. The words were so strong and impactful, we’re real professionals couldn’t help her.
So you’re wrong on that aspect of Superman not being relatable.
Also, people that likes Superman doesn’t like him because of his powers, well the kids do. But the adults like him because Superman is what we aspire to be. No one really wishes to be jaded or assholes. Superman teaches us we can be better than ourselves, we can strive for the betterment of all.
