There are a bunch of confirmed atheists in Marvel after the Infinity Crusade but I find it harder to buy that most of these characters have any sort of faith, most of them don't ever pray even when close to death or when facing impossible odds/things beyond their control. Marvel can't write religious characters for sh*t

Diversity and atheism don't mix. For some reason.
Probably because most writers are atheists themselves who genuinely can't understand religion, but less stand it.
