Maker plans on replacing 616 with the Ultimate Universe, in an effort to join the Council of Reeds... Though I'm not sure why Maker would care about joining their ranks in the first place? Perhaps in a play to reconcile/consolidate his fractured consciousness? /shrug
I hope they play that angle. It'd make sense for the Maker to be interested in symbiotes to begin with because their mind link could allow him to retrieve his consciousness

Couldn't Alex Luthor Jr. do that with ease? Why does he need the council? Is Maker still top 3 evil geniuses in comics?

So what happened with the other Ultimates? If Reed survived then the others should be out there somewhere.
Originally posted by BentleyThat sounds like the most logical move for Maker, imo: join this multiversal Council of his alternates, in an effort to become whole again. Because aside from that, I'm really not sure what the Council could possibly offer him? Everything they can do, Maker could do(or has done) on his own. /shrug

That said, I'm also curious to see where Marvel goes with the Council itself... Because in the wake of the Mad Celestial affair, the Council as we knew it had been obliterated, and Valeria was left in control of the multiversal Bridge:
Would be quite something if future Val has reestablished the Council of Reeds(for whatever reason) and is now acting as their leader. She is about the only character I could see actually outsmarting Maker.

This, also, likely has to do with Maker. During Ewing's Ultimates run, Maker brought in the Ultimates to fight for him:
However, the Ultimates soon realized what Maker was doing and turned against him(which resulted in the death of Ult. Cap):
And afterward, the implication seemed to be that the remaining Ultimates were going universe-hopping to track down the 'slices' of Maker's essence that are scattered across the new multiverse:
...Which would explain why they aren't currently on Ultimate Earth.
