Generally, how much speed does a character require to break time barrier in DC?
I remember back in pre crisis era, it generally needs to be FTL(https://ibb.co/FDtq2b6 https://ibb.co/G0Vbm5W) . But Im not sure about post crisis era

In comics it's still light speed I believe. Basing this on the JSA arc where Jay time travels after stealing Black Adam's speed. IIRC before hand either Dr Midnight or Mr Terrific asked if he could go superluminal to be able to do it. He said only wally could on his own, which was why they set up the whole boost/race with BA. It was also why he went to say goodbye to Joan (his wife) because they constantly played the angle that pushing his speed at his age could cause a heart attack.
Now on CW DC apparently you only need mach 7 or something. It's a wonder fighter pilots haven't time travelled

Ohh same thing in the story when Jay and Supes were trying to save Wally from Abrakadabra. When Jay stole Supes speed so that he wasn't at risk. Breaking light speed allowed Jay and Supes to go to the Future to Abrakadara's time I think.
At risk?
Isn't he the one that uses future tech to simulate magic? Meaning no Superman weakness, because it isn't real magic?

I thought the risk was from Flash and speedbforce and potentially getting lost in it. Jay IIRC didn't want Supes to be lost if something went wrong. Wally was out of control. No risk to Clark from Abrakadabra directly.
I might be wrong, it's from memory and my memory ain't what it used to be
I knew this probably has been done to death....But yeah, Superspeed and Superintelligence probably are the most broken basic powers

👆 especially when the writer isn't that smart, because then superintelligence gets abused (Reed/Batman with prep, for example, or Constantine).

It was the tech that Kadabra was using would transfer to whoever touched Wally and was intended to kill them(I don't remember how) and I think it was Jay didn't want to risk Superman dying if he(Supes) was wrong about he could survive it.
Whatever the intended effect was, Jay collapsed having a heart attack as soon as he touched Wally.
