This is more exposure than he previously got too, which doesn't help.

I don't even understand how changing his power source even redeems him anyway, though I'm likely missing something because I do not want to read it again. Why can't he still kill everyone else?

Glad that we'll get more stories with him where he gets ****ing stomped by Dark Multiverse creatures when he tries to feed on it.

Morrison is too 'meta' for his brain.

Morrison: "Mandrakk is a meta-fictional being that consumes the very concept of story"

Steve Orlandurrr: "you mean positive matter? like Anti-Monitor? I got it! Let's do a Lifebringer Galactus to him"

It's not even that complicated of a thing that you would get it that wrong though. Like even reading any relevant comic panels of him they say or portray that. Even if you're going to portray him as a matter eating lad, why specify what he's doing if you don't understand?

Simple change keeping the same story elements of the reboot:

He finds some plot device "book" (because it has to be a book so it bypasses any complication process) tied to the multiverse that he leeches off of. He gets 'warpedawokenaddicted' to the same type of thing he can find in the Dark Universe.
Also no HawkMung fights would be preferable... but I digress.

I can't imagine reading Mandrakk attacking him as a "self-assembling hyper-story":

Mandrakk being described as an "editor", if the meta wasn't enough:

And then...writing this.
Getting matched by discount Mungi characters wouldn't even be a bad thing, considering he wasn't fed compared to him eating at the Orrery in SB/Final Crisis. It would still miss the point of the character, but at least it'd be a generic "unfed cosmic being". He'd be a somali story-eater, or whatever.

But not understanding what he is, and then changing the essence of the character AND at the same time, saying that Superman had it all wrong when he faced Mandrakk....lol.

This shit got cancelled, too.

Morrison should make a reaction video while reading this comic and post it on YouTube.

Here Carver..

Hal casually slaps away a planet eater and stops a planet sized ship in its tracks.

That is an insane feat honestly.

Who was that guy and how did he have enough power to change Mandrakk into something else?

Who in the phuck is writing Uncanny X-Men? Dis Neega just bastardize X-Man’s character along with everyone else in this pathetic event.

That's why you're wearing this new set? You're a masochist? 😛

UXM started out promising with Nate, but yeah, it's taken one hell of a turn, lol.

Leech is gonna phuck X-man up, lol.

can we take a min to appreciate how great of a artist Sejic is

I know this isn't the place for this, but I'll leave one comment, then leave off:

Planet busting/shaking galaxies looks good on paper. But they have a big, honking achilies heel: Their power isn't on all the time, nor maxed out when it is. Against a guy with Flash speed, that is a HUGE weakness.

I mean, we just saw Goku and Vegeta get easily taken out by a space cop, for exactly this reason.

This, combined with the fact only Whis really comes close to the sort of speeds DC and Marvel elites do, and well..

Anyways, we can continue this in... ownage, I guess?

superman is not maxed out all the time either

we let characters fight at full potential, or else there be no point

speed cannot possibly be an argument, SSJ3 Gotenks circles the earth many times in a couple second. DBZ combat speed was already impressive

normal human beings cannot see cell and goku fighting at all, even piccolo was having a hard time following with his eyes and he's a legit planet buster

Goku has instant transmission, and his reaction speed is always legit

it's simply different level of power, goku was a planet buster level before he turns super saiyan. Now he's at least hundred times, thousand times more powerful.
Cell at SSJ2 level could bust solar system.

I'll be honest though, if we don't use power scaling there be no point debating dragon ball at all

Supes is closest in DC to the Flashes....

if every fight people start with maximum speed when the bell ring, with no CIS in play.

then speedsters like Hunter Zoom can beat Zeus and Odin at the same time. Think about it, someone who goes 1000 times faster than the speed of light, can punch their opponents millions of times before they can conjure a thought.

yet that rarely happens in comics ever

Because comics don't treat speed as accurately as anime.

Comics often think of super speed as a super power like heat vision. As opposed to it being simply a physical attribute like strength and durability.

And Dragon Ball is no exception. Otherwise, Freeza would have caught up to Krillin in no time, or the humans wouldn't last even a second against Nappa or Recoome.

Tf are you talking about?

Frieza was several times faster than krillin ( who himself is easily a speedster that's way faster than an average Quicksilver) and Frieza was properly portrayed as too fast for Krillin to see in a fight.

Reccoome vs regular humans? When the phuck did that happen?

Nappa vs Humans? You talking about the time he effortlessly blitzed an entire air and naval fleet and didn't get touched once despite a countless spray of bullets? He was playing around and still didn't break a sweat.

On the other hand look at Batman vs a bloodlusted Zoom. Zoom is for all intents and purposes infinitely faster than Batman. Nappa was not infinitely faster than those fighter jets.

And yet Batman tagged Zoom several times whereas Nappa didn't even come close to getting touched.

Because comics are often trash at portraying physical differences properly.

Hank fing McCoy's b.itch ass being able to make Hulk bleed is proof of that. You should be able to make Beast a billion times stronger and he still wouldn't be even a fraction of Hulk' s pinky strength by feats.

I agree with Cosmic and Mr. Mind. Both are correct and debating anything DBZ is just faulty when it comes to speed. Goku was outpacing nuclear blast while being in the heart of the attack without getting touched. In...the...heart...of...the...attack while it went off and he still didnt get touched. He outpaced it. This was when his power level was in infant stages compared to what it is now.

Why is Dragonball even being discussed here anyways? CDTM
