Wasn't volume 1 filled with A-listers, including f*cking Conan himself?

Something changed?

You haven't read V1?

*Elektra.

And yes - I liked them finally giving Deathlok his dues. Although that gun forging was pretty sweet too.

I really liked the nod to Predator 2.

Nah, only skimmed through some parts.

Galan and galanbots were feeding me scans in CO thread.

But I imagine team has a very different line-up now?

No. It's the same lineup, but they've all been renamed 👆

😂

Caught up a bit.

So that's where that HarpyRulkVerine Clay scan was from 👆

I can see the appeal. That's much better than allowing those characters fade into mungi-obscurity.

Gives the writers more freedom, too.

Now we only need Avengers Prime volume 2.

With U.S. Agent, War Machine and Beta Ray Bill.

The real US Agent I hope, and not this parody of 🇺🇸 Conservatism whipping boy from TV.

US Agent is a bit of a loser; at least Rhodey and BRB are cool

BRB's human form looks kind of alien though, unrecognizable as a human.

Deathlok got a major upgrade from what I remember.

He was cool after he was crippled honestly. I wish they'd have kept that. But yes always been a lower tier

What does it have to do with anything?

We all know you still hate blacks more than aliens, so stfu before I break your neck and urinate down your throat sneer

He worked fine in that warden role, yes.

Who was talking about black? Talk about your random outtake!

Besides Bill is clearly puerto rican.

So looked up some Thunderbolts lore:

When MACH-1 returned months later through a bargain struck with the Commission on Superhuman Activities (CSA), adopting a new identity as MACH-2, he also underwent appearance-altering surgery to conceal his true identity. He was unexpectedly given African-American features, and Melissa was initially distressed by the change. However, she became accustomed to it, and their relationship survived.[26]

😆 😂 😆

Combiner Wars ruined Combiners.

They used to be Cybertronian technology, starting with Devastator and then Superion, Menasor, and Bruticus following, until we got to your Predakings or Abominus's. The technology getting a rocky start and gradually being refined is what made it interesting.

For example, in the first IDW run, Megatron charges Shockwave to develop a combiner. It takes four million years to get Devastator.

Swindle tries building Menasor from a "combiner kit" that was bad technology, and they maintained their seperate personalities while combined and were easily defeated by Magnus.

The Autobots get Superion by accident, from this forrest that drives people insane. The Arielbots actually combine as psychological self defense mechanism, which is a neat twist, and are far less effective then Devastator.

Then Combiner Wars toyline happens, and introduces an artifact called the Enigma of Combination, which can create combiners on command. This turns them from technology to "magic", which makes them a whole lot less interesting.

Goodbye arms race, hello race for the McGuffin. Everything Combiners has to revolve around this stupid plot device now and forever.
