No such thing stated in the comic, headcanon isn't canon.

Actually it's not only stated but fully explained.

"Pariah used our minds to build these dream-worlds...but I have become lucid. This place is only a prison so far as our imagination will let it."

- Dark Crisis #5

Something I always wondered... if Pariah were looking to empower himself.... why waste energy creating worlds to entrap JL members?

Is it because the energy derived from those JL members were more than what Pariah could bring to bear?

I mean, Batman is on of the members, so that tracks 👆

More like flowery language. The universes weren't dreams, they were actual physical objects. Here Hal touches one and gets transported to the world within.

Its more like the heroes reborn universe Franklin created which was a full fledged universe by itself.

Carnage finally makes use of the Spot's powers:

Another week, another retcon. Now Penguin has always known Batman was Bruce...

It also seems to say that Penguin has always been in contact with Batman/acts like sort of spy for him

it's astounishing people from gotham couldn't figure out batman is bruce wayne

superman case is even worse, dude shows his face to everyone then put on a pair of glasses and nobody knows

Well it's like finding out Ashton Kutcher or Mark Zuckerberg is one of the Rain City Vigilantes:

^ Barely read any of Nubia's appearances. Don't even know her powerset. But that is Peacemaker's gun though. Government has been passing around special ammo to fight the Amazons.

Yeah I am unclear on Nubia's power levels - but IF she is supposedly WW's equal, doesn't bode well about her reaction speeds (even with special ammo).

So you see the panels of Superman explaining that he realized these are dream worlds that can be controlled/resisted through imagination....

... and you're just like "nah"?

The famous Midgard Serpent feat.

Sabes vs She-Hulk with Venom symbiote:

More multi-tasking from Sue:

Mystical gamma bombs, infinite in their power?

Except these aren't dream worlds, they actually exist. Pariah created them out of the league's desires, maybe try to read sometime?

Yes. And Superman says that he figured out how to undo the trap through focusing on the desire to be reunited with his friends.

It's right there on the page. They use their mental connections to the construction of the worlds to pull them together.

You seriously read all of that and thought "Superman powered up and destroyed universes"?

So I think it's a bit more nuanced then yes/no.

Pariah created these dream worlds to trap the JL. Now, can we assert physical size/properties to them? It would make a poor trap for the Flash, for example, if he runs out of 'world' in 2 seconds, or if it is such a shitty facsimile that Batman works out in 2 minutes that it's fake - IOW, it has to be a pretty damn good copy to fool them.

At the same time, they're just dark energy crisis bombs or whatever. Held together by the JL's individual imagination and mental power.

So yes, they're *worlds*. But anyone can destroy them once they became unstable (like in Batman's world). Pariah even wanted that to happen, as it then released the dark energy.

He's talking about getting out of the universes AFTER he literally destroyed the universes and they were standing on a blank canvas.

I mean come on lol

Sure. But at the end of the day, whatever properties (physical, dream, etc) that you assign to the worlds, the trigger for their dissolution wasn't Superman "powering up". It was "friendship" - i.e. the worlds were designed to separate them, but they could use their mental control over the fabric of dream reality to pull the team back together.

Abhi claiming this is a universe busting feat for Superman is at least as bad as carver claiming Wonder Woman stomped Darkseid, and conveniently ignoring the "power of love" plot device.

How's the power of love destroying universes when it was invoked AFTER the universes were destroyed?

Yeah it's not the power of love.

It's just their own imagination holding the worlds together. As I said, Batman's world was fading - that wasn't Superman's doing. As the JL were 'freed', their worlds were dissolving.

Put succinctly, I'm not claiming Bats is a world destroyer - but his world was destroyed once he stopped believing in it.
