^ Seriously, where is this mythical 2-3 sentence summary of how Wonder Woman's career during WW2 and the Justice Society works in current continuity according to you?
You act like you've posted it in your own signature. In the meantime, I'm just watching you sh1t your diaper over being called out on it repeatedly.

And not even the first time that's happened when you've tried to peddle your embarrassing DC myths to me.

Yep. I also don't see that scene limits Hyperion *only* can reach near lightspeed
I think it only says Hyperion can do that. Can he do more? Can he *only* do that? both are possible but both can't be confirmed
Originally posted by SmurphWhich would neatly fit with him only approaching light speed because he's utilizing relativistic mass as a destructive force.
The story specified that he was using relativity to make the time pass in moments
But, whatever. Hyperion's too slow to go any faster. Or he's just too dumb to go any faster. Or, we've never seen comic characters utilize relativistic speeds in such destructive fashion in comics.
Pfft, I mean, that's like an "infinite mass punch". Clearly, never been explored in any comics. Like, ever.

Unless I missed a change, the world war stuff with the JSA was retconned to be actually Hippolyta who traveled to the past and remained there for like a decade.

Every crisis is undone by Death Metal, it is all canon.Let's start with something basic.

Wonder Woman actually inspired the creation of Justice Society of America. From Wonder Woman 750, written by Scott Snyder. Now what, you idiot? You move on to another idiotic question?
Originally posted by qwertyuiop1998I guess that seals that, but also leaves a lot of questions, I suppose. Hopefully they explore more in the future.
Yeah, and IIRC, it's post-crisis thing right? Not sure if it's true after Death Metal though, as different eras get restored.
So maybe it's time-travel gimmick or something else. I don't think DC addressed this issue as far as I know. So I won't really want to jump to conclusion as I said beforeEdit:
Also Abhi posted thisSo I'm not really sure at this point

Being able to do that over short distance has of course been explored.
This was a 5 hour trip and that’s just from the time they noticed him. lol.i guess we can chalk up to mental disorder.
He broadcast the announcement that he was going to fly at Earth at a "significant portion of the speed of light"
The comic made clear that the kinetic energy he would build up would make him a world ending threat, and that he would experience the travel time passing much faster than everybody on Earth.
That's really all we know. It's enough to criticize the writing and to make Marvel earth look like some hand-wringing feebs but I don't see it as a plus or minus for Hyperion.
I think Galan's analogy works well.
If a car salesman says a car can comfortably approach 200mph, we don't assume the max is 2x, 4x, 5x that. Let alone 300x that.
To be blunt, it's nothing compared to what we see in a random Flash comic (and by extension, to Kryptonians). Maybe we are just jaded as comic readers.

If someone told me that a cheetah is perfectly capable of matching Usain Bolt's record, I might assume that the cheetah caps out near that. I would be wrong.

There's just not enough in the comic to assume either way.
