I wouldn't count anything during that scene as valid since so much was happening, including Superman being dosed with powers from mages. Also DS probably didn't shoot a killing blast since his goal was to allow Superman to kill him.

You also said Darkseid WANTED to die. He see Superman flying up to him with pink care bear bubbles generating from his chest, something he hasn't saw before and you're going to tell me he shot a full powered blast at Superman even though his goal was to die? Superman charging at him with pink shit coming out of his chest and Darkseid wanting to die, I'm sure he wouldn't try to kill someone that could possibly do it.
It's crazy that you're defending Batman being capable of holding him steady because he wanted to die, but you feel that he was going all out against Superman because he wanted to die.
