Think about it, what makes more sense to you -- including the melted bones to add to the horror element (or probably because one of the soldiers weren't fully doused with it) or because Ewing thinks Hulk is comparable to normal humans?
There was only such corpse, mind you. The other soldier was completely dissolved by the looks of it.
