How are the sectors shaped? Assuming the DCU is a sphere, is a sector a 'band' or a cone?

So you have to cross the width of an entire sector to go to another sector.

Cool. So 3 sectors is 160billion light years.
A galaxy is generally between 3,000 to 300,000 light years on size.

So assuming they are all giant galaxies, they crossed about half a million galaxies there....
