Aside from just finding out what happens between Superman/Manhattan, I'm really just curious to see how this definitively alters DC continuity.

Like, where does it go from here...

On a sidenote, I am also looking forward to this:

The constant retcons and continuity changes don't add anything to the story. Especially when some crackpot writer will create another event a year from now

it seems to be composite canon, like the blurry new timeline sheet they made, we saw that it will be released soon

I hope the entire issue is just them talking

Superman being described as Creation's greatest antibody by Manhattan is actually quite clever.

I expected Superman vs Black Adam, not Superman vs Black Adam and a shitload of others at once, too, lmao.

I really like how Johns writes his Manhattan narration.

I don't see any way they wrap this up properly feels like it needs take at least 3 more issues for Manhattan to fix the continuity problems. When Manhattan say he can destroy everything I think he means literally "everything" in the omniverse, when he says "nothing but darkness" I truly believe he's capable of it.

why is Johns still wasting panels on subplot that doesn't matter at all like bunch of russian heroes and black adam, or black rorschach.

This issue needs to be at least 80 pages for me to be satisfied

Manhattan will simply fix time and bring everything back after a talk with Superman, and there will be a double splash page with everything -- from Action Comics #1 [which is foreshadowed in the least subtle way possible, with Superman holding a car over his head, and then not] -- to present day with cliff notes.

Expect to see the cover of Barry and Jay discovering alternate Earths.

Expect a splash page with Golden Age Wonder Woman.

Expect the classic JSA.

etc.

The pivotal moments in all continuity.

And Superman will simply remember his entire history, from the 1930s to now.

If you expect the issue to autistically go through every single point in continuity from the last 81 years over 1000 pages, well....that's not going to happen. But the gist of it will be what I mentioned above.

Soooo...are the implications of Dr. Manhattan saying the Supes is the DC multiverse's greatest antibody as great and far reaching as I'm thinking they might be? Is it quite literally more proof that Supes > ALL when he needs to be?

Found this and lol'd hard:

That is exactly what the implication is.

The only way it could be more clear that Superman will always be powerful enough to beat any threat in front of him, is if Manhattan is fully erect as he's narrating it.

I love how laughably gratuitous it has become at this point.

Manhattan, who is beyond even Mxy and has knowledge of pretty much every hyper-powerful being in DC's history(he's mentioned the likes of COIE AM, Extant, ZH Parallax, and Spectre among others), still regards Superman as THE greatest threat to himself in the entire Metaverse... and what's more, he doesn't at all think that being one-piece by Supes is out of the realm of possibility(even if it doesn't happen.) It's f*cking asinine, lol.

We get it, DC... Superman is the best.
