from what I can tell
as far as main continuity goes
Pre Crisis Universe- a seperate universe, now called earth 1985
New 52 Universe- a seperate universe
Pre 52 Universe/Rebirth Universe- this will be the universe which story will be told from now on. Pre 52 and Rebirth happens in the same reality
Earth-2 along with all the pre-crisis multiverse also remain intact, Jon said "Everytime there is a change in the metaverse, the multiverse grows"
Every era of Superman has it's own timeline. They all coexist in the larger multiverse
everytime there's a new change to the timeline (reboot) a new reality is born, the old reality still exist seperately.

We see in the future, there will be new reboots, Metaverse basically means the DC company, and it's forever changing every decade or so, every reboot and altering of the Metaverse just create a new earth/universe. But it doesn't erase the past. So whatever happened in the past, happened.

The Metaverse forms around Superman, DC comics wouldn't exist without superman, that's why when Manhattan was rebooting the metaverse. He sees the kryptonian ship landing in different point in time. Wherever, whenever Superman's story will always be told

also wanted to add:

Each era of Superman being preserved, the previous universe/multiverse is preserved becasue of Superman, not the other way around

it goes meta, when Manhattan rebooted the metaverse, he rebooted the entire DC Company, not just one timeline, he fixed all the continuity issues by telling us all these different eras of Superman exist in seperate universes, and we can tell stories of any of them in the future. This was the idea of Jeff King after convergence. But since convergence was shit and nobody care about the writer this idea was dismissed by a lot of people, but it has been DC's goal all along.

https://comicbook.com/2015/05/27/decoding-convergence-with-jeff-king-the-finale/

and you know the funny thing is? Metaverse forms around Superman, DC Comis forms around Superman, it's the story of of the greatest superhero. Superman is hope of mankind, not just in comics but real world too. This hope is the north star of the metaverse. As long as Superman's story exists the metaverse will never end. The DC multiverse will never end, all of these stories are there because of Superman.

From in universe perspective, Presence/Overvoid/Source is the ground zero of the DC's creation

From a meta perspective, Superman is the ground zero of the DC's creation

I think Manhattan pulled off one the greatest feat ever, he rebooted the entire metaverse (dc comics). it was point black here, the entire creation was GONE

Ozy was the forgotten hero, he sees what would happen if Manhattan and Superman meet, he saved not only the multiverse but also his own world.

I shed tears on Jon's death he gave all his power to his step son. Before he left the world, he saw what could've been without his God like power. The love of his life, children, family etc... and it was just a dream. He appreciates the beauty of ordinary life as a omnipotent being, and then he's gone.

This was not the best outcome I was hoping for ( I was hoping for composite continuity from 1938-now)

but it's still a beautiful story

Phucking hell, it was good but I didn't shed Fricking tears lol.

It was good

Justice league 30 was good also

Pretty much goes toe to toe physically with Lex
Pretty crazy

So I couldn't help thinking that this:

Would have been *the* perfect origin story for the Quantum Superman of Earth-4. Would have explained why he's so retardedly powerful, and sporting a Manhattan-esque symbol on his forehead.

...Missed opportunity, Johns. ermm

That was instantly my first thought, too.

Btw, reviews for Star Wars are out.................lmao.

There's no way the reviews aren't bad, lol.

No question now. 👆

i will make a long post about dd clock a bit later. suffice to say i have a lot of thoughts about superman, continuity..everything.

Perpetua's energies don't work on the dark multiverse....that doesn't make sense

the only explanation is that dark multiverse is not part of her creation

In Geoff Johns perspective, Superman is The Source that everything comes from?
Yes.

The issue literally stated that EVERYTHING in the Metaverse forms around Superman:

He is the definitive linchpin to the whole of existence.

...Just like Alexander Luthor told us way back in IC:

Doomsday Clock just gave us a more in depth/cosmological look at the process.

Nova once more said to be faster than Glads. Surfer is faster, though.

Great showing for Susan Storm. Hiding an entire planet for ages, and her shields hold up to repeated strikes from Voidtry.

Yeah, it doesn't works as story. Shit just happened and got resolved in most nonsensical way.

It doesn't make any sense.

-Perpetua created WF to populate the multiverse(and in turn the Dark Multiverse.)
-WF created Barbatos to destroy all the universes that fell into the Dark Multiverse.
-If WF and his "pet's" powers are functional in the Dark Multiverse, there's no reason Perpetua's powers shouldn't be as well.

It's clearly just a cheap plot-device they introduced to give less of an advantage to Lex in his upcoming war with TBWL.

Yeah I mean he still has Martian powers, so should be fine.
