Hey, just read Superman up in the Sky, is it canon?

Not sure.

Initially peeps were claiming no when it came out.
But recently i think some are now saying it is.

I personally thought no.

But there were things scattered through the story which some claimed negated what I thought.

Plus, Doomsday Cock.

Haven read it.

Wait DD Cock is connected to Up in Sky?

I think Up in the Sky is canon, it just was supposed to come out after Doomsday Clock was finished.

Yes but King shouldn't touch mainstream characters at all

Thank you for the answers. It was an amazing read and I hoped so. Just the powerlevels seemed kind of crazy compared to what I was used.

Happy belated birthday👆

Up In The Sky is canon, yes.

When UITS originally started being released(which was before the conclusion of Doomsday Clock), the main reason its canonicity seemed questionable is because Clark was shown having a convo with Pa Kent:

And at the time, Pa had been canonically killed in a car accident back when Clark was still in high school:

However, the final issue of Doomsday Clock retroactively altered Superman's history. So now, in current canon, Clark saved Ma and Pa from the accident:

And they are still very much alive:

Which means there is no longer a reason to doubt UITS's canonicity.

I remember when I said UITS was canon

Indeed. 👆

But at the time we had every reason to doubt its canonicity, because of the reasons I mentioned above. It wasn't until the final issue of Doomsday Clock was released that we could definitively say otherwise.

Bow before Alberto, mortal.

And Doomsday Clocks has already been retconned as Superman’s son inspired the legion.

"Alberto was right"

There is no retcon in current DC universe as everything is canon.
And, Sequel to Metal is based on Doomsday Clock.

UITS when it concerns power levels are all over the place. There are some amazing parts of the story and there are some outright terrible parts of the story. It's a win/lose situation when using anything from that story. Remind me of the inconsistency in the Jean Grey Phoenix story. Great read but inconsistent power levels.

They must be outlier because they are "inconsistent".
I don't understand what is consistent though.

I just don't care for his mainstream character interpretations is all.
