Yeah, they're running fast and loose with the concept that "the multiverse just does things."

It's an extremely piss-poor way to retcon.

On the other hand, they have to do a lot of "it happened, and then it was adjusted" if they want to fit it all in.

I know it doesn't qualify as obscure. But it doesn't matter, DarkSaint raped the forum so many times, we don't allow such things at all thanks to his rants.

Also, keep in mind that in GotG vol 1 the PG was shown to work as a passive power, with no need to activate it.

But how often does that apply when the Movie universe is the proper canon? Wouldn't movies override comics in this case.

Which is exactly why we have GotG which shows us how the Power Gem works.

And Russos loved contradicting themselves, like the time they said Thanos discarded his armor since he had no need of it after acquiring the gems. That statement actually makes sense and - again - goes nicely with what we've seen in GotG.

How is that a contradiction? Endgame also adds to that being Thanos' base because he was manhandling Thor with Mjolnir and Stormbreaker with utmost ease without the gauntlet.

If they say he suddenly has no need for armor, then they confirm what we already knew from GotG (Ronan's durability was amped by PG, regardless of actively using/charging the gem) and contradict their commentary.

Thanos experiencing a massive level-up (or orgasm) accompanied by CGI effects each time he got a new gem doesn't make me think he was unaffected and sticking to his base levels, either.

Thor was reduced to barely useful levels in Endgame tbf.

I always looked at that as Thanos believing he was already beyond being stopped by anyone. He didn't take off the armor until after he flattened Thor and Hulk.

It's a comic book tie-in, a prelude to Homecoming, so yeah, it's gotta be that.

Btw, comics made it clear that Thanos DID use the PG against the Hulk 😉

lol, retcons ftw.

IW Thanos vs. Wanda

EG Thanos vs. Wanda

Compare, lol.

So, X-Force was meh. I really hope this big, new X-Men thing is going somewhere. Otherwise... It's gonna run out of steam pretty soon.

Sorry, not entirely sure what you're asking here.

Gonna be honest... I'm waiting for this arc of GL to end so that I can go back and reread it all at once. Morrison has gone full LSD mode with this series.

Not a bad thing at all, but it's not exactly easy to decipher, lol.

He says that it will show "one possibility".

So I wonder if it will just be a dream sequence/vision or somesuch..?
