I honestly think superman isn't going to be the main focus of this arc, he already outshined everyone in the world forger arc and doomsday clock recently.
I don't even know what 'direction' Snyder is trying to take here. At all.

Shit's all over the place.

he's just trying to stack as many wacky ideas as he can, it's like he is writing this piece solely to live through his fanboy dreams.

I think he has a hat with a bunch of suggestions written on tiny pieces of paper that he draws from.

So far he’s pulled Monster truck, Castle, Baby, Robot T-Rex, Magician, and Batmanhatten.
Mix those with Batman and slap the word “evil” on it and you have a Snyder classic.
Leaving plenty of time in the day to rewatch his favorite Michael bay movies wearing his favorite cape.

Superman will be focus of one issue. Expect most ridiculous feats in the next issue.

Eh

Would those feats be applicable to "normal" Superman?

I don't even know where this series sits in the continuity. Is it the same characters?

So has Sendou gotten a little too ridiculous?

Remember when Vorg got back up from a dominant handed smash? He always had power, but you could survive it. Now its like a mere graze staggers you, and a direct hit is death.

Finally caught up on Ippo this past week. The fact that there's still no season 4 of the anime is a crime against humanity.

Most probably if Superman's not powered up.

Can Banshee tune people to sensitize them to a telepath?

I *think* they're all still supposed to be the mainstream versions. They were just altered a bit after they(with Manhattan's power) fought Perpetua in the unseen JL finale.

If she beat them then why would she allow them to still live at all?

I don't get it. 😕

it’s explained in the first issue

Without the main stream universe, there can’t be any new universe created in the dark multiverse. The idea is, each fear that the mainstream universe has, a dark universe will be created from that.

So TBWL keeps them alive to endure new universes are created, hence making prepetua strong as she feeds off that negative energy

I need to go back and reread because I must have missed that.

I understand why she'd need to keep the mainstream universe around, but why would she need to keep the heroes alive?

Maybe their fears are somehow more powerful than that of most people?

I think the Trinity(especially Superman) kind of have to exist for the universe to stay running -- Mxy stated that a while back, and the point has obviously been driven home in recent stories. They(especially Superman) are the cornerstones of reality.

Kill them, and there can be unexpected, creation-level repercussions that you have to try and deal with. Keep them alive(and in check), and you can continue doing your thing without those unforeseen variables muddying things up.

That's my take, at least.

Yeah, Batman’s 2 fears of becoming Manhattan or joker are basically what death metal is all about

That's a fair point.
