Seems more logical that the Judges would get fed up with all the antics taking place in the multiverse, and come to stop it(like they did billions of years ago against Perpetua.)

BatManhattan *shouldn't* be able to beat them... He *shouldn't* be able to stand any sort of chance against them at all. But with Abhi Snyder writing, who knows what we'll get?

Pre-Crisis Galan had an adamantium skeleton.

After Philneto sucked the adamantium out of his bones, they became quite brittle (like those of Masterson Thor) and he had to quit firefighting as a result.

It's all told in volume 4, 5 and 6.
