"What! She drives a car? That self-serving eco-terrorist!" 😬

I get you're trying to defend Trump from criticism for his shitty environmental policies and for being a cvnt to a devastated Puerto Rico after being slammed by a hurricane, but he actually had it coming for his shitty environmental policies and for being a cvnt to a devastated Puerto Rico after being slammed by a hurricane.

I don't care about her videos. That's nothing of substance. It's more irrelevant than Bill Clinton ****ing Monica or Trump screwing Stormy Daniels, neither of which I care about in a political sense.

There are plenty of things worth criticizing this radical over, but this isn't one of them.

Like what? Not too familiar with her.

Why does this chick live so rent-free in the minds of conservatives?

Just off the top of my head I'm pretty sure she floated the idea of a 70% income tax over the past couple days.

She advocated a 60-70% income tax on people who's incomes are over $10 million, or something like that.

A 70% tax rate on the wealthiest Americans seems radical to you because it was never so high in your lifetime (or even mine), but it was the norm for much of the last century.

That's historical tax data, dumb ****. Income tax rates at or above 70% on the wealthiest Americans were as American as apple pie, baseball, and racism in the 20th century.

In that time frame, there have been 11 Republican Presidents to the 8 Democratic Presidents, ~42 years of Republican Senate majorities to the ~64 years of Democratic Senate majorities, ~36 years of Republican House majorities to ~70 years of Democratic House majorities. It was over 70% during the First Red Scare (1919-1921) and the Second Red Scare in the 40s and 50s, and yet the income tax rate on the wealthiest Americans only ever went below 70%

1) during the post-WWI boom in the 20s, before the crash of 1929 and the subsequent Great Depression years, when Republican Presidents held office the entire decade (Harding, Coolidge, Hoover),

and

2) after 1980 when Reagan was President with a Republican Senate majority, and it never recovered.

But of course, you're a ****ing imbecile who's been trained to bark "Socialism!" at the merest suggestion of raising taxes to fund non-military government programs that would benefit you by your wealthy masters, so nevermind.

'tard on, Fly.

You're an old man. So you should remember the 50s when the US was literally the world's largest economy, by far, and no other country came even close. Right?

The 50s: the heyday of the United States. Where our only problems where how much bigger our new hydrogen bomb could get, our racism against black people, and our sexism against women.

Those were the days.

Well, shit, they've tried everything else. They'd might as well give it a shot.

To date, they've attacked her for her wardrobe, her job as a bartender, a a couple of misspoken statements during her campaign, where she went to college, where she lived when she went to college, how she paid for college, for not being able to afford housing in Washington D.C. before earning her salary as a Congresswoman, and now for dancing in a video apparently promoting her alma mater.

It's ****ing ridiculous.

Where she lived was a big deal Actually. She claimed she was poor, and she used to her helped mom clean houses, then we found out she came from a well off family. That was legit criticism of her character.

But her being criticize because of her dancing is idiotic.

Because she’s hot

Okay I'm actually starting to get a bit skeptical here.

Who actually got pissed off about this video?

The article really doesn't link to any of these so called twitter posts, I've seen people search and fail to find these supposed droves of conservatives. So where are they?

The only tweet I've seen anyone manage to find mocking her for this before she responded to the apparent swarm of mockery was a twitter account that had been created five days prior. Seems a bit fishy.

Does seem like a mockudrama.

Cute video.

Apparently, I’m supposed to be upset that she’s doing a dorky but fun college dance video while looking very smoking hot with an amazing smile.

Some conservative group found the video and posted about it to mock her and shame her for looking like a “nitwit.”

Watch the video.

I am having a hard time believing this is anything but PR that pretends to be a criticizer of her but makes her look great. “Look at this video of her that makes her look amazing and awesome! Isn’t it terrible? So terrible, I say, dear chaps!”

If they legit thought this made her look bad, I’m glad it backfired on them. Anyway, just watch the vid. Read the article. Tell me your thoughts.

You think this is a legit smear campaign?

I mean, even the New York Post just said "smear backfired", and talked about some mysterious "critics".

If it's a smear job, it's a bad one.

Yes. In the 50's they knew how to handle uppity Commie Nazis like SJWs. Fire Hose and the Dogs and a good dose of the Night Stick.

The Good Old Days.

You can point to the historical tax rates, but you can't pretend this is not a completely radical idea in the modern world that wouldn't severely damage our economy.

And you can't pretend that people are just pulling shit out of their ass for criticizing what is obviously terrible policy.

Really what this all seems like is maybe a handful of random assholes criticized her so she turned it into a media circus to rally her followers. Quite clever political strategy but really disingenuous.

About as clever as framing the tax debate as in any way a common man issue.

I mean, whether big business hoards it, or goverment wastes it on inflated contractors, that's money we aren't going to see. 😈
