Marvel and DC have so much advanced technology on Earth, so how come?

With all of the advanced technology Marvel and DC have on Earth alone, how come they haven't wiped out cancer? Why are people still bound in wheel chairs?

Cause ....REASONS! Or just blame it all on Trump.

I'm sure Wakanda has a cure for cancer but they don't like sharing.

Superman is so technology savvy, he could end world hunger and stop 99.99% of all crimes. He doesn’t do it because the plot doesn’t call for it.

I don’t see Clark going Red Son to achieve said goals though. I honestly see humans actually welcoming him if he chose to end crimes in the world. There’s a few humans of course-Luthor, Savage that would oppose him-but the second he gets serious, and shows the World their evil ways, humans would understand. Especially if he ends world hunger, and cure all known diseases.

I see your point, I just don't agree that it would work. Have you ever read the Peace on Earth or For Tomorrow series? They deal with that exact thing.

I'd like to believe humans would get their act together if Superman offered them all those benefits, I just don't see it happening.

..That is all plot contrivance to justify the status quo. Its actually very malicious when you think about it, too.

I would like to agree with you, but then I look at the state of the world as it is right now, and I'm not so sure.

Superman not solving world hunger isn't the same as, say, nobody executing The Joker.

Lex Luthor already said he can cure cancer, he just doesn't think it's profitable yet.

They're afraid rest of the world would weaponize it.
