Liam Neeson says he walked the streets hoping to 'kill' a black man after family member was raped
So...did he just torpedo his career here?

Originally posted by Putinbot1Reading up, he had those thoughts for about a week due to extreme emotional anguish over a loved one being raped and when he settled down sometime later, he said he realized how wrong and ridiculous his thoughts were and that he felt ashamed and still feels ashamed to this day that he felt the way he did.
let's wait till everything is corroborated. He seems confused. More than you are usually my little red piller.
So no, I doubt his career is over. thought at this point what would that mean, we don't get yet another movie where he plays some guy who is wronged by a group of people and then he tracks them down and kills them?

let's see if it turns out a rape happened, it's wrong but wed all understand it. If it didn't hes a ****ing idiot.
If the rape happened I don't know if that would placate Hollywood progressives. This is gonna be hard for some to get around:
Neeson said he then "went up and down areas" with a baton "hoping I’d be approached by somebody." Neeson admitted he is "ashamed" by his actions.
"I’m ashamed to say that – and I did it for maybe a week, hoping some [Neeson gestures air quotes with his fingers] ‘black bastard’ would come out of a pub and have a go at me about something, you know? So that I could," – he paused again – "kill him."
It's not that he wanted to kill the rapist, he was hoping for any random "black bastard" to kill.
He has a history of being a somewhat Conservative guy, iirc. So not sure "Hollywood progressives" need to cope here, when they can just write him off.
Still though, he opens up with "I’m ashamed to say" meaning he's fully aware that his thoughts were wrong when he had them.
I'm just curious if this is all founded in something that actually happened or if not and he's just gone mental.

I agree they can write him off, the problem for him is he needs to placate them if he wants to continue to have a career.
It takes a lot of courage to admit to yourself that you weren't just in the wrong, but that your thoughts and actions were shameful. More still to admit them to others.
Liam Neeson knows his racist thoughts and stalking the streets for misplaced retribution were wrong, and is essentially in remorse for a "mere" thought crime.
Hopefully he doesn't have trouble with his career after admitting this, and I personally don't think less of him for having done so. 👆

Thought crimes and face crimes are big deals these days.
