He wasn't that smart, he got caught.

Even smart crooks get caught sometimes.

He was smart enough to rage-quit out of office and get his crook buddy Ford to blanket pardon him before the axe fell.

Escaped any type of Conviction.

What was he trying to accomplish by the DNC break-in, what were they looking for, did we ever find out?

Win Elections? Cause he was a politician?

The open, documented, corporate conquest of Hawaii by a group of businessmen was a rare look behind the curtain.

As is the conspiracy to recruit a general in a US Coup. Which every major newspaper openly mocked at the time, oddly.

I don't know what the difference is between a hegemony and an oligarchy. Also, there is a large overlap between an Oligarchy and a Corporatocracy as to almost make my point unnecessary but there is enough of a difference (because the set of powerful oligarchs in the US is not a perfect overlap with the set of powerful Corportists) to merit distinguishing the two.

What is really sad is watching Hawaii get turned in to a Socialist Shit Hole by its Democrat Policies now.

It will be better off once Japan takes it over completely.

Probably neuter all the homeless to keep them from breeding.

A hegemony is really an old fashioned colonial empire that uses money and influence rather than force, an oligarchy is more an internal structure to a nation or empire.
