He completed his sentence, that is the issue. He was recharged and sentenced again, which is why his new sentence has been overturned.

He was originally was given a fine and community service. He completed those conditions, and was charged again anyway, which resulted in the prison sentence he is currently serving. The Illinois Supreme Court basically said it was unfair for the district attorney's office to make a deal and then renege on it.

@Robtard: if you were previously a fan of his, or of his show, and thus actually lost some skin over this topic, ignore the following:

why repeat the condemnation so many times? It has the look of trained reflexive genuflecting.

Not sure what you mean? He was guilty of what he did and I was under the false impression he greased by. But he served his sentence, so all good.

As I suggested: he was used, here in this thread, ad nauseum, as a credentialing tool to make liberals genuflect on command. It's a reflex that people need to untrain themselves on. IMHO
