I know what Xenophobic means. Trump singling other Countries to protect the US is not being xenophobic. That’s him as the President of the United States doing his job. I disagree with this rhetoric. It blew up in China. China bungled how it was handled and tried to cover up/lie when it was obvious mistakes were made (classic CCP). There are multiple versions of coronavirus. So this one is the Chinese coronavirus. Even more specifically, you can call it the Wuhan Coronavirus. And in a few weeks to months when this all blows over, because most people have terrible memories, they won't remember where Wuhan was.

Calling the US xenophobic because we shut down travel from certain countries due to a pandemic is really stretching it.

Isolationist? Yes. Xenophobic? No. The US is an ethnic and international melting pot. For example, I'm Jewish, Black, Italian, German, French, Anglo, Irish, and probably Persian (I need to get the 23andMe thing done but I'm scared of the gene-spying thing).

Trump's chances of winning in Nov were around 55-60% in January (which is actually low-ish, considering he's the incumbent), after his complete incompetent disastrous and dangerous mishandling of the corona virus pandemic and the resulting economic after affects, he's well under 50% now.
