I feel her pain. The prospect of the only two realistic, democratic choices to be president next year being Joe Biden or Donald Trump, seems worthy of a scream to me as well to be honest.

It's a pretty shitty outcome. Bernie supports many of the policies that I do and the policies I support are based on facts and science - it's not like I just have a vague feeling about this being a good idea or that being a good idea.

Sure, a good 25%-30% of his policies are either less than optimal or very shitty, about 70%-75% are great ideas. Some can be improved to be more in line with research.

Again, the argument against my position is this: Bernie needed to have such extreme positions to balance out the inevitable watering down of his positions. When they are pulled slightly to the right or even significantly to the right, we will end up with better positions that are more realistic. Perhaps...maybe.

Great news now he can work on his 2020 presidential campaign

Yeah, and you get reminded of the consequences for that fact every day that you turn on the news.

Obama's presidency will be a shadow looming over any minority's attempt to run for as long as Boomers are alive.

lulz no argument there

Bernie Sanders has endorsed Biden lol.

So he definitely doesn't care about sexual assault.

Noted 🙂

The poor Bernie Bros...will they go for Biden?

This sounds familiar.

I guess I'm just confused at why Al Franken had to go but Uncle Joe can stay.

uncle joe is even older than that clown.....

I wonder if Joe will collapse on 911 too hm

I mean a vote for Joe is essentially a vote for his VP.

Rumors it will be Amy Klobuchar.

#WhitePeopleRule

I think Klobuchar is likely but now I think it will be Baldwin hmm

And I am not wishing death upon anyone, I wanna make that clear.

But it would be hilarious if the only way we got our first female president is cuz a more powerful man died.

Baldwin will help him with the LGBT and midwest. Also, she's young and works closely with Klobuchar so it's a good choice imo.

BIDEN
BALDWIN

In fact, if she campaigns in the midwest with Klobuchar and Biden focuses on say NoCa, Biden could win....

From my POV some of his positions aren't extreme enough, but I agree with you, it's something the Republicans are very good at. By proposing the most extreme options they are sure to get at least the minimum of what they want. Since Democratic leaders are generally completely incompetent pushovers (or worse complicit), the Republicans tend to get much more than the baseline. I revile basically the whole Republican platform, but their political skill is indubitable.

Hypocrisy. At the time of Al Franken it was important to Democratic leaders to attack Republicans on their sexual misbehavior (and even then many of them did not care to do it), right now it isn't politically convenient. Al Franken additionally is much more left than Biden, Biden is a product of the Democratic establishment.

Keep in mind as well that the accusations against Franken were much less severe than those against Biden (or Trump for that matter).

Oh yeah I forgot, the dems wanted to be able to go after Roy Moore.

Hell I remember salon deleting a pro pedophile article just so they could dunk on Moore.

The polls already showed us that the Bernie Bros were going to do this before his announcement.
