@Artol: I think a handful of the posters here do have pretty moderate policy positions by American standards, but approach things with a reactionary attitude and/or buy into certain right-wing rhetoric (fear-mongering about the left, for example) that gives the impression that they're further to the right than their actual policy positions would suggest in a vacuum. Maybe that could explain why there's a disconnect between how they politically identify and how you perceive them?

LoL@ you thinking #4 is not something right-wingers actually believe in. It's modern day leftists that are opposed to individual rights not right-wingers. Individual rights has always been the most basic of conservative beliefs so don't know where you get the idea that the left has always had a monopoly on it.
Also, pretty sure that most conservatives are anti-pollution as well. Know I am. Just compare how clean right-wingers leave a place after mass gathering vs how lefties do lol. It's pretty clear to me that leftists are the ones who don't care about stopping pollution.
